Dr Collier trained in medicine at Cambridge and Oxford Universities, then completed her general medical training and gained her postgraduate medical exams in London. She specialised in Medical Microbiology and completed her registrar training at UCLH. During this time, she passed the MSC in Medical Microbiology at Queen Mary University London, with distinction.
Dr Collier started as a Consultant Microbiologist and Infection Control Doctor at the Royal Free Hospital in January 2010. Her particular areas of interest are managing and preventing infections in renal patients, outpatient antibiotic treatment, and management of chronic infections such as diabetic foot and implant infections.
She is one of the Deputy Directors of Medical Education for the Trust, and takes a special interest in education, pastoral support and well-being. In 2020, she gained a Diploma in Medical Education from Dundee University.
